DNA from a Pizza Crust Reveals Suspect’s Identity in Gruesome Quadruple Murder

Daron Dylon Wint, aged 34, is the prime suspect in the quadruple homicide case that shook Washington D.C. last week. His DNA was found on a pizza crust near the scene. The suspect's home was searched earlier today, but he has not yet been found.

Savvas Savopoulos was killed in his home together with his wife, his son and their long-time housekeeper. Savopoulos was a wealthy manufacturing executive of American Iron Works. The police stated at a news conference that the suspect had links to Savopoulos – he allegedly worked in the company Savopoulos was running. This led the authorities to believe the arson and the killings were not random. The police also said they talked to Wint’s girlfriend who said that he is planning to turn himself in.

A source familiar with the investigation said that the suspect’s DNA was found inside the victims’ house on a pizza delivered there. It is believed that Wint held the family and the housekeeper hostage.

The motive of the gruesome crime is not yet clear, but the police believe that the money was the prime factor. A source told the media that the suspect had obviously searched for money. It is also believed that whoever was in the house fled the scene with USD 40,000.

Authorities think that the criminal fled Washington D.C. and went to New York City. Media report that Wint has previous convictions, namely those related to theft, sexual offense and assault.
